The war has long since passed and Hogwarts has a whole new staff and a whole new class of students. These kids don't have time to worry about wars and all that shizz. Nix flicked her head around and looked up at Alex before nodding quickly to herself and then breaking in to a small smile. She swam back over to the side of the bath and paused before dipping down in the water a little, she knew her boy freind couldn't see her but she didn't know if Hugo was looking at her from behind, but she still didn't want anyone to see anything more of her than her head and maybe her shoulders if she got too hot soon. "nothing, but the moon will be out on Saturday so I'll be following him" she said with a small laugh to herself before she tilted her head to one side. Alex knew she went out under the moon and she knew that he knew she wasn't a werewolf too, she hoped he had worked out that she was an animagus but she had never directly told him so herself

After a few minutes of ignoring the couple, Hugo couldn't help but indirectly feel like the third wheel. Sighing heavily, he accepted that he wasn't going to have a relaxing bath. A thought came him to him and smiled a sly smile. If they weren't going to let him enjoy his bathtime, he wasn't going to let them enjoy theirs either. Not caring about showing too much, he stood up and waded over to their side of the pool. He positioned himself a couple of feet from behind Nix as he grinned up at Alex. "How's it going you two?" he said innocently. He knew they weren't planning on doing anything but it was still fun for him to get in the way of the two.
Hugo began to inch his way over to the edge of the pool so he would be able to face the two of them directly when his hand grazed Nix's backside. Eyes widening, he froze and glanced at her from the corner of his eye. Not wanting Alex to suspect anything, he continued to make his way over to the edge. Now facing the two of them, he hoped Nix wouldn't give anything away. It was an accident! He just hoped that she would see it that way.

Alex nodded. He knew that Nix usually went out whenever there was a full moon. He didn't have it from her directly, but after examining her behavior and doing some research, he'd figured out that she was an animagus. He supposed that she probably went out then to practice changing.
He frowned slightly as Hugo made his way over to them. "I'm fine," he answered Hugo shortly. Alex felt a bit intruded upon, as he and Nix had been there before Hugo had gotten there. His eyes narrowed as Hugo waded past Nix, seeming to be very close to her. Of course, Alex couldn't really see, so he refrained from saying anything, though the hand that lay in his lap had clenched. Of course, if Nix said anything about Hugo touching her, the head boy was in for a bit of a surprise. Alex might not look like much, but he did know how to hit and make it count.

Nix heard Hugo move in the water and she dropped herself down in the water a little more and she turned her back to him and looked up at Alex. She opened her mouth to speak as she felt Hugo brush past her and her eyes widened.
Nix couldn't help herself, due to a past relationship of hers she had developed a reflex to jerk forwards should some one brush past her below her waist and of course, while hugo had done it by accident, nix couldn't help it. She flinched forwards in the water and gave a sort of strangled yelp before loosing her footing on the side of the bath and next she dropped under the water with a splash. She closed her eyes in a moment of being under the water and she wrapped her hands around her knees for a moment. With her eyes closed and her arms wrapped around her legs she drifted to the centre of the bath in only a few moments before she risked opening an eye and found herself looking at the centre of the bath again ,"oh shit" she muttered to herself and a flow of bubbles trickled out of her mouth

Hugo noted his clenched fist and gave him a look that said are you really going to try that? Not a second later, Nix was underwater again. Eyes widening, he looked up at Alex and took that clenched fist seriously. Backing away from him so he'd have time to react just in case he did try anything, his eyes flicked back over to Nix who was in the middle of the bath. "It was an accident! I swear!" He had never been put in this position before, a position where he was the one in trouble. He put his hands up as if in surrender and continued to back away.
He had really hoped that Nix wouldn't have done something like this but it was too late. As he backed up onto the corner of the bath again, he dropped his hands to his sides and lowered his head in shame. He felt like he shouldn't be ashamed of himself when it was an accident but the action had happened all the same. He lifted his head after a few more moments but he did not dare lay his eyes upon either Nix or Alex.

Quickly, almost imperceptibly, Alex reached into his robe pocket and flicked out his wand, aiming it at Hugo and muttering, "Immobulus." Cold fire blazed in the Ravenclaw's eyes as he stood and walked along the edge of the bath towards the head boy. He kneeled down next to him, forcing the Hufflepuff to look him in the eyes.
"And just what, exactly," he said, voice low, calm, and dangerous, "was an 'accident'?" The only time Alex could remember being this angry was when he'd found out some loser kids were teasing his sister at school. He wasn't sure what had really happened, not being able to see very well, so he had decided to look past his anger to make sure he got the full story.

Nix tightened her grip on her knees and rested her head on her knees and she felt her hair wash around her and wrapped around her ears and she gave another sigh. Bubbles slid out from her mouth and she snapped her eyes open and then pushed her legs away from her arms and shot out of the water and let her head break out of the bubbles. She looked around the bath to where Alex had been sitting and noticed he wasn't there any more, she looked around the room and stopped him with his wand out and it pointed at Hugo ,"al? What are you doing?" she said with and worried edge to her voice as she swam forwards the two boys

Before he knew it, Hugo was frozen. He couldn't move any part of his body and his eyes were stuck on the ravenclaw's eyes. He saw fire burning in them and it quite unnerved Hugo. He had never seen this side of him before. Not allowing him to overpower him, Hugo glared at Alex and didn't say a word, not like he could anyway. How dare he, a prefect, use the freezing charm on the head boy? Oh there would be serious consequences for his actions. It seemed to Hugo that Alex wasn't thinking clearly.
Hugo wanted to look over at Nix but couldn't for obvious reason. Once he was out of this mess, he would tell Alex that it was on purpose. He knew this would cause a riff between the two of them but Alex already did a pretty good job of starting it already. If he could, he'd smile smugly at him but he was sure all what he was feeling was reflected perfectly in his eyes.

Alex's glance flicked over to Nix for a moment, then back to Hugo. "I'm just asking for his side of the story, Nix, I'm not going to do anything. I refuse to attack someone who's unarmed." Pointing his wand back at the Head Boy. "Finite Incantatem," he said, breaking the spell. Folding his legs underneath him indian-style, he stared back at Hugo, though he was talking to Nix.
"I only froze him here so he would stay by the edge of the bathtub. I didn't really want to get in, and I can't see the edge very well, and I would rather not fall in to the bath. I suppose I could've used the leg-locker curse, but people usually fall down after being put in that, and it'd be rather hard to get him back up then. I also could've asked him to merely stay where he was, but it's possible that he would've left the spot just to spite me, so I took no chances," he explained coolly. If the Ravenclaw was anything, it was careful and calculating, and this showed in his small speech. Alex set his wand down behind him and held up his hands. When he spoke again, it was to Hugo.
"Look, see? Totally unarmed. I have poor vision and didn't quite see what happened. All I know is that whatever happened, it affected Nix in a negative manner. Clearly, this doesn't seem like it's going well in your favor, Hugo. However, far be it from me to accuse without fair trial, and so I'm giving you an opportunity to tell what happened." The fire in Alex's eyes burned lower now, though he was clearly less angry than before. Nix's obvious concern for Hugo had told him that the action he was taking need not be so... rough, for the lack of a better word.

Nix didn't know what to do now. She liked that fact that Alex had been given a chance to hex Hugo seeing as she had already had her own chance at the tea shop, she also liked how her boy freind was more powerful or atleast smarter and faster than the head boy. But as much as she HATED him for hurting her and for being the guy she had wanted for so long only to throw it back at her, she didn't want Alex to hurt him. She slowly swam forwards and over to the boy but kept her mouth firmly shut, she would let them talk this out merely chip in if she had to. But her main reason was she didn't want to give either boy more fuel to get mad seeing as they were both quite far gone as it was, and she knew if she came too close then someone would end up in more trouble than they needed

Hugo remained silent when Alex removed the charm. He gazed long and cruelly at him for a few moments before saying, "How dare you use your wand me against me! I don't care the reason! I'll make sure you get your just desserts when the time comes." Hugo had finished in a low threatening tone. He looked up at Nix and noticed she was moving her way along toward them. Hugo took this moment to lift himself out of the pool to sit comfortably on its edge. He had quickly grabbed his towel in the process so the essentials were covered before anyone had caught a glimpse. Hugo returned his harsh gaze back to Alex. "And if you must know, my hand grazed your little girlfriend's behind. I shouldn't even have to explain myself to you. I wouldn't have ran off either. Maybe if you knew me a little better you'd know that," he said with a sharp tongue.
Hugo was incredulous to what had just transpired and couldn't help but feel a little defeated. He would've actually left if he hadn't just said that he wasn't the type to do that. Most people would know that he truly isn't the kind of man who runs out on things but at the moment that's all he wanted to do. He wanted to get out of this ridiculously uncomfortable position he was in and return to the common room. This bath was supposed to be his wind down session but it turned out to stress him out even more.

Alex rolled his eyes. He didn't feel that he'd done anything wrong. "Oh, calm down, Hugo, you're not hurt or anything. Don't pretend you wouldn't be just as angry if our roles were reversed and Nix was Lita," he said dryly. Frankly, he wasn't afraid of the head boy. If anything, he was annoyed by the fact that the seventh year was making such a big deal out of it. It's not like the charm he'd used hurt. "And I don't know you better, and so I figured it'd be better to be safe than sorry. Perhaps it was a bit... forward of me, I admit it. I'm not afraid to admit my mistakes."
He listened to Hugo's explanation and, with a quick glance at Nix, nodded. "Okay, fine, I believe you," he said with a shrug, "if only because I don't think you're the kind of guy to cop a feel on some else's girlfriend. Besides, if it was ill-intentioned, I figure Nix is very well capable of correcting the injustice. As for my... what did you call them, 'just desserts'? Here," he said, reaching behind him and holding out his wand to Hugo so that the handle faced the Hufflepuff. "A hex for a hex. Go ahead and hit me with it."

Nix shook her head as the boys spike and then gasped as she saw Hugo stand up and let herself drop under the water again. "why can I just stay down here where it's simple and warm and quiet?" she thought to herself as she pushed off on the bottom of the bath and shot forwards to where the boys were. Her hair spread out around her as she let her back rest on the cool stone of the bath and she sighed letting a line of bubbles escape from her mouth as she did so. "I wonder what would happen if I stayed down here?" she asked herself mentally before she rolled her eyes and forced herself lower in the water again

His anger had abated as quickly as it had came. Hugo shook his head and pushed Alex's wand away. "That's not how I work. Forget this ever happened," he said looking away from both of them. He could never stay angry for long and definitely not long enough to harm anyone. He normally kept it bottled up inside and after it has been simmering, he would blow up at the slightest thing. He knew this was his ultimate flaw but he didn't like to cause trouble when it wasn't needed for the most part. Hopefully, he'd blow up rationally, if that was even possible.
"In all sincerity, would you two like it if I left?" Hugo said in a defeated tone. Still looking away, he had a depressed look into his eyes. His night was ruined, that was for sure. But he didn't want to lose any friendships over this. He wasn't sure if Nix considered him a friend after all that happened at the tea shop but at least he was on tolerable terms with Alex and he didn't want to have a riff between another prefect.

Alex's eyebrow quirked up in mild surprise, but he said nothing as he flipped the wand back around with a flick of his fingers and set it down beside him. He did feel rather grateful that Hugo had decided not to hex him, considering there were many hexes out there that the seventh year would know that Alex did not, and the last thing Alex wanted was to get involved with a hex that he knew nothing about.
At Hugo's question, he shrugged. "I'm not the one to say, considering I'm not the one who's, you know, unclothed. Nix?" he asked, turning to his girlfriend.
