A born Animagus, Karina Carman Lorde grew up in London, in a manor that looked very welcoming on the outside, with her three (later four, once Karina turned 15 years old) siblings and her parents. She had a perfect life with her family in London, as the second child in the family. The first child, Oswald Lorde II, was two years old when Karina was born in St. Mungo's, followed by Christine who was four years younger than Karina, Alyna who was nine years younger than her and lastly Oliver, who was born just after Karina turned 15 years old, four years after she discovered that she was an Animagus (we will get to that part later).

When the time came and Karina left for Hogwarts, she was sorted into Gryffindor with no surprise as her mother and brother were Gryffindors. Only her dad wasn't pleased, hoping with all his heart and mind that Karina would be sorted into Slytherin, but fate changed it and she got sent to Gryffindor. She led another perfect life at Hogwarts, being one of the best students. She was also very caring to others who treated her the same as well.

Now, back to her Animagi ability. Ever since Oswald had told her about Animagi, hiding the fact from Karina that she was a born Animagus just like him, she had been very fascinated with it. He used to tell her goodnight stories where people would change into different kinds of animals. Every night it would be a different animal, and Karina loved them. Oswald finally revealed the secret to Karina, trying to hide the happiness from his words. He began training Karina to transform slowly when she was 9 years old, and Karina finally mastered transforming when she was eleven years old. Her Animagi form? A Steller Sea Eagle.

As Karina went through her years at Hogwarts, she found it hard not to love Quidditch. Quidditch was one of the joys of Hogwarts to Karina, and all the same, her love for Quidditch was better expressed every time she played the game. Karina was the best Seeker at Hogwarts during her time, and also a good Chaser and Beater. The only postion she had a hard time at was playing Keeper because of her slim stature. Karina played captain for the Gryffindor Quidditch team for three years, namely her fifth, sixth and seventh years. Playing Quidditch at Hogwarts gave Karina the dream to become a Quidditch professional, and worked hard to do so.

Several years after Karina graduated from Hogwarts, her dream to become a Quidditch professional came true. It started when she played Reserve Seeker for the Arrows, and it went on to becoming a full-time player to the Appleby Arrows. Karina was an amazing player, and gained fame around Europe in the year 2000. Quidditch became nearly half of her life, but along the way she gained enemies, most especially those in other teams. She retired from playing Quidditch when she was 25, after playing professional Quidditch for five years in the year 2005.

Karina has been teaching at Hogwarts ever since, switching from Ancient Runes professor to Defense Against the Dark Arts professor and Head of Gryffindor House.
