✧ Smiling at everyone and anyone she makes eye contact with, even if they're glaring at her. It's her first instinct. (The second would probably be to run.)

Ever since she was a kid, the same neighbours have gushed about how gorgeous they think she is, and then to carry on and say the same thing about the rest of Leena's family. She's pretty confident in her appearance, and recently has taken up the art of make-up to enhance her natural beauty. However, she's modest, too; she'd never dream of using appearances against her peers.

There is a family of Muggles the Osmans consider close (but not close enough to expose the wizarding world), who took care of the Seda and Mustafa when they first arrived in Manchester. The rest are focused in Turkey, Wales, and England, with a few in France, Australia, and the United States.

----»» FULL HISTORY: The Polats and the Osmans had always had a close-knit tie, close enough to be families. They built businesses together, they attended Hogwarts together, and they returned to Turkey together. Initially, Mustafa had been contracted to marry Seda's sister. However, six months before the wedding, Dilara left Turkey. Not wanting the wedding plans to go to waste, Seda was slipped in her place. He was 18, she was 20.
Despite the surprise, Seda wasn't disappointed. It was well known that Mustafa was regarded as a good man with a promising future. He'd graduated Hogwarts with high marks and the aspiration to be a writer.
Their marriage was healthy, although the inability for Seda to initially conceive was of some worry to both parties. It wasn't until Mustafa and Seda started to make plans to move back to England in order for Mustafa to pick up a job with a minor wizarding paper that Seda finally found herself pregnant. Unfortunately, she miscarried three months later, just after the move to Manchester was finalized.
Finally, Hakan was conceived, just after their move to England. Seda always considered it a good omen, and encouraged her children to embrace English culture. She managed to create a good balance of mingling with the Muggles at the Muslim mosque they attended, as well as their neighbours and other wizards, organizing play dates to get their children as cultured as she could muster.
Leena has always identified with Islam, although she disagrees with most of the extreme practices. She observes most of the holidays, and the mainstream Christian ones as well. Whenever she visits her family in Turkey, they tend to chastise her for not being Muslim enough; she brushes it off easily, preferring to listen to her aunt Dilara. At Hogwarts, she prefers to keep her religion to herself, although she doesn't hide it or keep it secret, and never minds when people as questions - so long as they're tasteful.
