The Rules

1. No God-Modding. Never, everyone hates people who god mod.

2. No Mary Sues or Gary Stu's. You know what I mean. Those perfect characters. Non of them. Here we all have flaws.

3. Students are never to use any of the forbidden curses or any other kind of magic that would normally be to advanced for most wizards to ever use. If a student does, then a professor will intercept you, god-mod your character and expel you. Simple as that. How ever if you do get permission from an admin to use a dark curse, for a really good reason then we may permit you to do so.

4.Respect all admins and mods.

5.Respect other role-players, this does not mean in character, but it means out of character. On that not though, if your character does not like a character, we would like to hear why in your post, it doesn't have to be a good reason, but it prevents people from feeling disrespected.

6. No one liners. We are a fast moving role play yes. But we expect at lest 75 words a post. Optimal is between 100-300 words. If you decide to go over and the person only replies with 300 then don't complain. This is a fast moving role play, we don't need your characters whole history in the middle of a role play. That's what applications are for. How ever some people do like long post so as long as you don't hold anyone else to your standards you could post 2,000 words for all I care.

7. Character drama is allowed. That means anything that can happen at Hogwarts will happen. If this means some dark themes then it means dark themes so be warned about that.

8. On number 7, we do allow violence, we allow very light fade to black sexual scenes, (they had better stay within a pg-13 range) and we do allow, mature subjects, such as rape, depression, and sexual ambiguity. But it all most be handled in a tasteful manner. You will find a guide on what we do and do not handle down at the bottom on the rules.

What we will and will not allow you to do

1. Vampires
If you want to play a vampire then you had better read this. First these are not Twilight vampires, WB vampires, or even Whedon vampires. Vampires in the world of Harry Potter are somewhat of a touchy subject.

"Vampires are classified as beings by the Ministry of Magic, a fact that led both the centaurs and merpeople to decline the same status since they did not wish to be associated with them, or hags. They are not considered to be wizards, and the treatment of vampires is laid down in the Ministry's Guidelines for the Treatment of Non-Wizard Part-Humans." -Hp Wiki

That being said....All Vampires on this site are PART vampire, part wizard. They will receive tonics from the potions master to keep their thirst at bay and they can purchase Blood Lollipops at Honeydukes for the same reasons. They can not attack an unwilling student because that will result in expulsion. All vampires have to be canon as well. *i.e. check the canon list*

2.Werewolves

Being a werewolf is not half as romantic as it sounds. They undergo a painful transformation every month and must drink the wolfsbane potion in order to maintain a human mind. When a student undergoes the transformation they must do it in the forbidden forest or the whomping willlow. These do not have to be canon but in order to be accepted you must fill out the history part and give a good detailed explanation for their werewolfism.

3. Other
Veela's, giants, and other part races are allowed as well. Just be true to the canon rules for them. TeacherXstudent relationships....Are allowed, but must be handled wisely and with taste. And I will limit this, not every staff member is gonna jeopardize their job for a snot nosed teen. Also, it's not realistic that half the staff would even want to shag any of the kids. On that note....Students involved must be 6 or 7th year no younger, too bad if you don't like it. If more then 5 or 6 professors are involved in a studentxteacher plot at a time I will ban it until one of them fizzes out. Canons you can not have more then three at a time, and non of them can be directly related or involved with another.

Powers

1) Animagi

Your character MAY be an Animagi. They aren't that rare, so go for it. But, if your character is NOT a born animagus and was taught through schooling or research, you character MUST be at least 16 years of age, and a Sixth year. Born Animagi could have powers at any age. You may choose ANY animal, but only ONE animal except for the Aesalon family.

2) Veela

Your character MUST be a born Veela. Veelas aren't made. They are born. If both of your character's parents are full veela, then your character is a full veela. If both are half-veelas, or one of them is, then your character is a half veela. Basically like the blood purity minus the muggle-borns.

3) Elves

Don't expect to make a tall elf. That's all I say.

4) Seers

Seers, this is what I have to explain. Seers may be any of the following: telepaths (those who can read minds), telekinetic (those have the ability to move objects through the mind), prophets (those who can see the future), and clairvoyants (those who can see beyond our reach).

Seers are born, not made, like Veelas and Metamorphmagi. And your character's power ability is based upon their age. Students have very little ability and get immensely tired afterwards. Adults aged 18-25 can control them better, and those above 26 have complete control over their powers. Capisce?

5) Metamorphmagi

...have to be born. Not made. If you don't know what a Metamorphmagus is, what the heck are you doing here? Basic knowledge of Harry Potter. ^.^

6) Others

Run them by an admin first before anything else. PM REESA (screamsofterror) or ROSE (admin)
