It was a warmer day for September, still chilly, but the sun was shining as best as it could for the cool weather. Lita sat under a tree near the lake, her wand in hand and her wrist swaying back and forth in a sort of trans. Water droplets moved with grace through the air, occasionally dropping back in to lake but otherwise creating fun shapes. She had been practicing all day down in the dungeons for Defense against the Dark Arts. She loved practicing, but the darkness got to her sometimes. So in order to get out of that little slump, she decided to join society outside in the sunshine and just hang out for a little bit.
Lita was dressed in a pair of bell bottom hip huggers and a plain maroon hooded sweatshirt. Her feet were covered in a pair of matching maroon converse shoes and her hair was pulled up into a messy ponytail. She looked like she had just been working out, her cheeks slightly rosy in color. Lita was okay with it though, she wasn’t one to really care what other’s thought of her. Giving her wrist one more flick, she shot the water droplets to the side, not really caring who or what they hit on their way.

James still wasn't getting used to the sudden journey back to the castle. For one thing, he absolutely gated the train rides. Way too bumpy. And also, there was the fact that Angeline would appear any moment. Or one of her cronies, if she ever managed to get some.
Something weird managed to pull him out of the castle as he headed towards the lake. The only time when, out of boredom, he left the castle did not turn out well. He ended up being stuck with some Gryffindor girl with the name of Nix Lily Night. One of Angeline's friends, he supposed.
A girl caught his attention. Apparently he wasn't too used to seeing girls so each one of them caught his eye within a matter of seconds. He dodged a sudden burst of crystal-clear water, making his way to the girl. "You should know better than to hit, or attempt to hit, a prefect in the middle of the day, honey."

She hadn't really thought she would have been lucky enough to actually hit someone, but whipping her head around at the sound of a deep, suave voice, Lita perked up a bit and actually smiled. However, upon replaying his words in her mind, she frowned slightly. "You mean I missed?" Turning to look up at him, she took in his appearance. He wasn't bad looking, but he was definitely a Prefect. That stupid shiny badge on his chest, that she had grown to hate, was pinned there perfectly. Smirking a tiny bit, she waved her wand again, allowing a few more drops of water to float out of the lake and dance around. "I could always try again, if you'd like." She chuckled softly raising her head once more to look at him, "So Prefect, do you have a name? Or shall I just call you Prefect from here on out?"
[/b] Her voice a light joking feel to it today. She was in a playful mood, so hopefully he wouldn't take offence. And if he did, looks like she would get some good target practice in.[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

James chuckled to himself. "Yes indeed. You missed by quite a few millimeters. I must say that I'm quite impressed." he said darkly, scratching his chin. Strangely the hot air outside made the Slytherin common room feel like a refrigerator. Seriously way too hot out there. He stared at the girl. Seeing as she was nyo wearing her Hogwarts robes, james could not tell what house she was in. She looked a bit older than him, though. It was peculiar. He always managed to catch up to girls older than him. Like Katarina Zabini. Of course, excempting Angeline and maybe Nix Night.
"Why yes, I do have a name. James Lockwood. And you are?" he said quickly, smirking at the girl. He knew it was a joke, of course. Normally Slytherins would not take jokes as funny, though awkwardly he did.

OOC: So I’m thinking because of the whole love web plot thing, we could do a sort of time lapse post? That way the two are all caught up with each other and everything? What do you think? Hahaha!
Lita smirked genuinely, and patted the ground next to her to have him join her if he wished. She was in a pleasant enough mood anyway, a bit feisty, but still good nonetheless. Flicking her wrist, she allowed the water droplets to fall back into the lake. She hated water… or rather, she hated being engulfed in it. Water was her one and only fear, which was exactly why she was a good few feet away from the lake and sitting right up next to a tree. ”Well, James Lockwood, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m Lita Chance. And all though I know you are a Slytherin, I won’t be too judgemental, so long as you aren’t judgemental toward me, deal?” It just so happened that her twin older brothers were in two very different houses. One in Gryffindor, the other in Slytherin. She was a good mix of the two, though she still contemplated as to why the Sorting Hat put her in Gryffindor when she clearly had quite Slytherin attributes. She wasn’t going to complain much though, everything seemed to be working out just fine so far as she knew.

((ooc: how would we do that lol ? XD sorry i'm half-asleep))
He smirked lightly, straightening the wrinkles on his robes. Not exactly the right time for him to make a fuss over things. He nodded at what the girl said. Lita Chance. Somehow he heard that name before. It was awkward, and James was not used to awkward moments. He edged towards the girl, sitting down on the spot beside her. "I won't, don't you worry. And I am guessing that you are a Gryffindor, yeah?" he asked politely. He wasn't about to say that he heard her name before. It sounded so... peculiar. Gryffindor Seeker, as he heard from an unsuspecting Angeline Lockwood.

OOC: I'll make a time lapse post and see if you get it? If it's too confusing, I'll just edit it. Hahaha!
He seemed awkward, nervous almost, like he wasn't used to someone so straight forward. And the fact that he was fussing over his robes? It was cute, and it made her smile. Lita was fine with that though, she liked making people a little on edge. "Yeah, I'm Gryffindor. Though I could have easily been in Slytherin, I guess."
***********************************
That had seemed like forever ago. She smiled at the memory as it slowly faded from her mind. That truly was a while back, and yet here they were, sitting in the same exact spot, having gone through so much since then. She flicking water around with her wand once again, like she had back then. The only difference was that now they were dating. Lita leaned over and lay her head on his shoulder. Smiling, she tilted her head to look up at him and speak softly, "Do you ever think back to when we met? And what would have happened if I had hit you with that water?"

((ooc: aha okay. I'll do something like that as well ^^))
James smiled. He would never have done that on a normal day with his normal type of people. He chuckled. "I hope you would have, honey. But I trust your judgement about being in Gryffindor." he spoke softly, nearly whispering on that part.
The Slytherin had that memory again. No, he wasn't looking into a pensive with his memory in it. It was real. There they were, on the exact spot where they met. People normally forgot about the day when he or she met another person. James hoped that Lita didn't. How did he keep that momentum in his mind? He wasn't sure. His mind was blurred and became clear after Lita spoke. "Yes, I always do Lita. Always." He smiled at the Gryffindor. "What would have happened? I'm not so sure. Maybe we wouldn't have ever spoken to each other. But I'm not so sure about that." he laughed darkly, hoping that he wouldn't sound like a git when he said that.

Lita wrinked her nose and laughed at his comment. "Of course we would have still talked, just probably not under the same circumstances. It probably would have happened around three in the morning as I was probably beating someone up in the astronomy tower." It wasn't super probable for her to beat someone up unless they really ticked her off, but it could have still be likely. Seeing as if he hadn't walked up on her, he definitely would have been sending her to detention for finding her doing something wrong. Leaning up, she placed a kiss on his cheek before flicking her wrist and sending a few water droplets from the lake at him once again.

James laughed. Then stopped. He felt Lita's lips on his cheek. He smiled. It wasn't every day when Lita did just that to him. Lita flicked her wand, pointing towards the lake. Uh-oh. He knew that type of trick. The trick that the Gryffindor had been doing to him for days and weeks and months. Water droplet time. He leaned towards the side, though he could still feel a drop or two of water brush against his face. Another laugh. And a smile. He was just very glad that there were no news reporters or gossip writers around them. Or else he would expect to see them soon, somewhere.
