Somehow the time had fallen away from Karina's hands. It fell far, far, away. Nowadays she couldn't have even found time to check on the Quidditch pitch, just to make sure no one would be casting spells on the arena. With the obvious reason that their said house would be favored by the pitch.
And now, she found herself at the lake.
Not exactly the right moment to, but she actually wanted to jump in the crystal clear water. That was, if she was a sixteen year old. She was just standing in her adult robes as they billowed in the wind.
Actually she was really close to ending up in the forbidden forest. She couldn't see why the beautiful lake was so close to some forest, known to be filled with creatures and unicorn-killers. And that was just an understatement.

Pixie sat in the shallows of the lake and flicked her tail lazily in the sun light, her skin was rather funny to her like this, due to her being in the water it was trying to turn dark green like it would for any other mermaid but the fact that her head and back were resting on the bank was allowing sun light to hit her and was making the green pale out so it just made her skin look wih the waters surface. It was dark until the sun hit it and then bright waves appeared and washed away down her and then the dark would come back again, she gave a light giggle and then closed her eyes and rested her arms on her head on the grassy bank side
